OK Yorkie Rescue

OK Yorkie rescue is made up of volunteers throughout Oklahoma. We do not have kennels and all dogs are fostered in loving homes, throughout the state.  Most of our dogs come from puppy mills.  Fostering in homes helps the dogs transition from life in a cage.   Our Foster Moms will get started with potty training, good follow through will be required once they are adopted.

The rescue runs strictly off of donations. All of dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted out, so we are always looking for more volunteers. If you are interested in one of our dogs please fill out an adoption application. Our mission is to save and re-home Yorkies and Biewer Yorkshire Terriers that are abandoned and no longer wanted.

OKYR Dog Of The Week! Darby

Darby 

I would like to tell you a little about myself. First my name is Darby, I am a Morkie (that's part Maltese and Part Yorkie). I am 3 years old and Until OKYR saved me, I spent my whole life at this place they call a puppy mill. Now, I have a new house with my foster Mom (don't tell her, I know that its not my forever home).  I am doing pretty good with this thing called potty outside.  It took me a while, but I am getting the hang of it.

 

I love to play hide and seek and tug of war.  If we have a party I am not sure if we should invite those silly cats, but I know that we should leave the little humans  at home.  I have had all my shots, and been neutered so you wouldn't have to worry about any of that. If you think I might be the right one for you please fill out the  adoption application and mark it a home for Darby!!!!
